When? Okay, in July. The click-bait title: GPT-5 Is Coming in July 2025 — And Everything Will Change. Selected for maximum promotion by Medium staff.
Or metastatic modernity will continue on its merry course (i.e. nothing changes). My son is a highly paid idiot savant who serves the modern techno-industrial monetary system as a hyper-intelligent if not pan-dimensional being. He could have written this offering. Enough said.
But it is a members-only pay-walled offering, so for those who don’t know how to get around the paywall, I’ll briefly summarize at risk of wasting too many words.

Okay, only wrong 5% to 15% of the time (compared to my calculator at 0%). But next month it will be 99% to 110% error free. Meanwhile, the pace of planetary destruction will not slow (will accelerate, stupid).
My son taught himself to read fluently, without hesitation or error, by age five (by looking at pages with pictures while I/wife read to him, using pattern recognition of sound/symbol, but only mentioning he could read well after the fact). He went to college at age 13 after testing in well above average, skipping most of high school, and turned down a fully paid university education because it would slow him down from serving the Tech Bros. He can’t think his way out of a zero-order humanist crock of shit. I know, I tried to teach him.
